Lumiflow Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 13, 2026
Lumiflow is a Chrome extension that helps users read webpage content in a
focused reading view.
What Lumiflow accesses
Lumiflow only accesses webpage text when the user explicitly starts a
reading session:
- by clicking the extension popup button
- by using the keyboard shortcut
- by using the context-menu action on selected text
Lumiflow does not run continuously across websites by default.
Data Lumiflow stores
Lumiflow stores the following settings using Chrome extension storage:
- selected reading mode
- selected chunk size
- last used WPM
- selected preview font
- bionic reading preference
- auto-advance preference
These settings are used only to restore the user’s reading preferences.
Lumiflow also stores the current reading session content temporarily in
Chrome session storage so the extracted text can be shown in the reader
window. This temporary session data is not used for analytics,
advertising, profiling, or sale.
What Lumiflow does not do
Lumiflow does not:
- sell user data
- use user data for advertising
- transfer user data to data brokers
- send webpage text to third-party AI providers
- load or execute remote code
- collect payment information
- collect precise location information
- require an account
How data is used
Lumiflow uses accessed webpage text only to:
- extract readable text from the page or selection the user chose
- open the immersive reader window
- render the reading session locally in the browser
Data sharing
Lumiflow does not share user data with third parties.
Data retention
-
Preference data remains in Chrome extension storage until the user
changes it or removes the extension.
-
Session reading content is temporary and stored only for the active
reading flow in Chrome session storage.
Security
Lumiflow keeps processing local to the browser extension and limits page
access to explicit user-triggered actions.
